About Alpaca Dental Services

Allison Quagliani has been involved in the Australian Alpaca industry for over 10 years, along with her husband Danny and their two children, Sean and Rachel.

Allison became interested in alpaca dentistry when she encountered a tooth problem with one of her own alpacas. Diagnosis and treatment was hampered because there was no one with the specific training and tools required to provide the necessary treatment.

Allison has carried out extensive study covering all aspects of alpaca dental care. Her teacher is a Master Equine Dentist who trained for horses in America and with an Alpaca vet in England. Together they designed and had manufactured specialised tools and restraints to make the inspection and treatment of alpacas as safe and stress free as possible.

Allison’s research has been supported by the Australian Alpaca Association through the auspices of the Research and Development sub-committee.

Following successful completion of her studies and supervised field experience Allison formed Alpaca Dental Services and is now practicing full time.
